FEELING GOOD when it's been easy to feel the opposite.
If you are anything like me, at some point in the recent weeks/months you have needed a miraculous shift in energy. When there is a lot of darkness, fear, anxiety and low vibrations effecting our society near and far, it is inevitable to be effected. And if you are like me, you get to the point where you know you need to make a change. I felt like I needed someone to plug me into a light socket and brighten me up from the inside out.
Leaning more heavily into the practices that help me FEEL GOOD helped me feel lighter + brighter!
And that’s what I felt inspired to write about today. The light. The that’s within me and I believe is within you. And for those of you, who, like me, are able to dance, laugh, smile, do good, spread positivity, spread love and shine your light, than hot damn, start spreading it around, and spreading it on thick. Cause the world needs you more than ever.
And cause you deserve to FEEL GOOD - even when it seems easier to just feel the opposite.
My motivation for creating Good Life Juice all stemmed from a deep desire to FEEL GOOD through the foods I eat and to help inspire others around me to do the same. I stand by my belief that fuelling your body with nutritious, wholesome foods and juices that nourish you on a cellular level have a dramatic impact on your daily happiness and joy. So I hope you will start there, then layer on all the other things that help light you up!
After I stepped up my practices and got back into a feeling of lightness, I wanted to share what helped me get there, just in case, you needed a little motivation or guidance to do the same.
Here’s what helped:
Daily gratitude practice. (I picked up my dusty 5 minute journal and got back into it)
Committing to do GOOD for others. Prioritized acts of kindness.
Went to see Caroll Ann at Progressive Healing. (if you know, you know!)
Increased my time in nature.
Did a refresher of mindful self compassion (picked up my favourite book - see image above)
Booked a therapy session.
Set more clear boundaries and expectations at work.
And Some More Things That Helped!
Booked a massage.
Ate healthy, wholesome meals and drank a cold pressed juice daily.
Stay hydrated.
Got lots of sleep.
Increased my stretching and recovery routine.
Exercised daily with rest days once per week.
Here’s What I Stopped Doing / Reduced
Listening to true crime podcasts
Screen time before bed (got some great new books)
Reduced my alcohol intake
Engaging in less conversations about COVID and low energy topics
And just like the banana, I’m smiling at you too!!
XO, Andrea
