I don’t know about you, but it sure feels like summer is in full swing! The weather on Vancouver Island is hot + glorious, masks are optional, and there is so much to celebrate! With more days at the beach and evenings on the patio, I love celebrating summer with adult bevys and delicious foods. But at the same time, I want to feel good all season long.
Committing to a few simple habits throughout the summer gives you the best of both worlds. As the saying goes, girls just wanna have fun . . . but girls just wanna feel good too!
Here are our top 3 ways to FEEL GOOD, keep on track with your health goals and still enjoy all your summer splurges.
Hydrate
Increasing your water intake is an easy way to FEEL GOOD.
Take this as your daily reminder to drink MORE H2O! Water is second (oxygen being first) when it comes to the importance of your health and you actually need more in the summer heat. Considering it makes up to 75% of the body, it’s no wonder that a hydrated body is a happy body!
Try drinking 1L before you leave the house and pack another liter to bring with you during the day. Flavoring your water is a great way to keep it interesting. I always add a scoop of our Collagen to my flavoured water to get all the hair, skin, nail benefits and 10g of protein.
Consider setting reminders on your phone, or adding it to your self care checklist.
And don’t forget that it’s not only water that keeps you hydrated. Lots of fruit and vegetables are also a great source of H2O. Cucumbers, celery, watermelon, spinach, broccoli, apples, oranges and blueberries all have at least an 85% water content.
2. Liquid Till Lunch
